For the first time after the pandemic struck, various activities marked the two-day event of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2022 at DLRC Ibajay West District with the theme: "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for all Ages."

The opening on August 28 was highlighted with an advocacy parade attended by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Ibajay, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Ibajay Coast Guards, SK Chairpersons, and people with ages ranging from 15 to 30 years old.

"Always bear in your minds thatgreat power comes with great responsibilities," Hon. Nestor Inocencio, member of Sangguniang Bayan, and one of the guests said. On the second day of the celebration, August 29, different contests were held such as Poem Writing, Poster-Slogan Making, Spelling Bee, and Team Quiz Bee with an inter-school and inter-barangay category.

Cash prizes and certificates wereawarded to the winners.

Meanwhile,the "Pagkilaea Awarding Ceremony" was also included in the event to
recognize and congratulate college students who graduated with Latin Honors.
