In line with the Linggo ng Kabataan 2022, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Ibajay elected Local Youth Officers (LYO) as counterparts of Municipal Officials from Mayor to Vice Mayor down to Sangguniang Bayan Members.

These lected youth officials participated in a week-long program conducted by the
Pambansang Pederasyon ng mga Sannguniang Kabataan of Ibajay headed by Hon.
Sherwin Castro, which started on August 30 and ended on September 2, 2022 at
Municipal Mayor’s Office.

Boy andgirl counterparts were trained about leadership, attended talks, engaged in
team-building activities and were oriented on the roles of government offices.

“It is a great opportunity to witness how local government works. This experience will
serve as stepping stone for me as a future leader of our society,” Mr. Roniel
Gregorio, elected Youth Mayor said.       

The Municipal Youth Week Program aimed to empower the youth through engaging them
in local governance.
